An Associate is a Group Leader who is responsible for driving our business through a production unit they manage and an assigned client base they oversee, with a projected annual revenue of $850L to $1.2 million and growing. The position will operate primarily in the public sector and will require experience serving as the engineer of record for municipal governments, utility authorities and/or land use boards. The position MUST operate out of our Hammonton Office once we return to normal operating procedures.
Associate Responsibilities:
- An Associate is responsible for the financial and technical performance of their group.
- Serving as a Client Manager or Engineer of Record for various municipal governments, agencies, boards, and authorities.
- Either overseeing project managers or serving as a project manager on a wide range of projects including but not limited to; road design and reconstruction, athletic field fields, flood mitigation, public facilities, site development, inspections and construction administration.
- Managing and developing a team of support staff.
- Providing expert services on multi-disciplined projects, collaborating with other Associates to bring the our company Difference to our clients.
The ideal candidate
- Should have experience in proposal development, project scoping, creating project budgets, and responding to public request for proposals from government agencies.
- Will ideally have extensive knowledge of public bidding laws, specification packages and construction administration
- Preferably will have a desire to mentor and develop the staff under them including eit’s and interns.
- Will possess the ability to interact with a diverse group of constituents including but not limited to; elected officials, administrators, public employees, department heads and members of the general public.
- Must be able to attend evening meetings and is comfortable representing the firm at public meetings.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of a BS degree in an engineering discipline (Civil) , Structural degree also considered.
- MUST be a New Jersey Licensed Professional Engineer or if licensed in another State to obtain and New Jersey PE.
- MUST have a valid New Jersey Drivers License that is in good standing.
- Experience serving either as a Project Manager or Client Manager/Representative in the public sector.
- The position will require work outside of the normal workday.
- The ability to communicate effectively both in person and in writing.
- Candidates who possess a specialty expertise and/or experience in water resources, storm water management and/or H&H will be of high interest.
